The Boundary Numbers in Soul Contract Readings

Welcome to the third part of my Soul Contract series.

Last week, I shared about the boundary numbers in the Soul Contract system (and if you missed it, you can check it out here) and before that we were talking about the power numbers (which you can also watch here) today we’re diving into another one of my favourite topics: the outsider and isolation numbers.

What Are Outsider Energies in Soul Contracts?

Certain numbers carry an energy that can make life feel like you’re standing slightly on the edges, unsure where you belong, not quite fitting in with society, or feeling separate from others.

The main outsider or isolation numbers are: 8s and 10–1s, 5s and 7 and 4s and 6s. Each has a slightly different flavour, but they all point to a soul learning how to feel safe and grounded in connection with others and with the world.

Soul Contract Numbers 8 and 10–1 – High Frequency Outsiders

8s and 10–1s are both really high-frequency numbers, which can make the density of earthly life feel particularly heavy.

• Eights are deeply sensitive and empathetic. They often take on the role of peacekeepers in families or relationships, but because they feel so much, they can withdraw into nature or animals instead of people. This can look like isolation, but it’s really a way of protecting their sensitive energy.

• 10–1s carry a God-like masculine energy that feels intangible and hard to ground. Many with this number feel they don’t quite belong here, but they find purpose and joy when they step into service and use their energy to make a difference.

Soul Contract Numbers 5 and 7 – Floaty or Protective Outsiders

• Fives are imaginative, dreamy, and etheric. Their lesson is to come down out of abstraction and ground into real life, taking tangible steps, making choices, and declaring, “I am here”. Without that grounding, they can feel floaty or disconnected from everyday reality.

• Sevens often carry an abandonment or heartbreak wound. They can hide their true selves behind a social mask, only revealing their real feelings to a select few. This self-protection can lead to isolation, even when they long for connection.

Soul Contract Numbers 4 and 6 – Trust and Creative Outsiders

• Fours are here to learn deep trust - in themselves, in people, and in the universe. When trust feels difficult, they may hold back, over-give, or retreat into isolation rather than risk opening up to others.

• Sixes carry a huge wave of creative energy. When it flows, they can channel it beautifully into art, writing, cooking, or any form of expression. But when they get stuck, spinning too many plates, or caught in frustration, they may isolate themselves to focus, only to end up tangled in their own thoughts.

A Final Word on Outsider and Isolation Energies

Outsider energies in the soul contract system can look like high sensitivity (8s, 10–1s), floatiness or self-protection (5s, 7s), or challenges with trust and creativity (4s, 6s).

Each of these numbers is ultimately about grounding, connection, and finding safe ways to step into the world. They remind us that while isolation can feel protective, the deeper lesson is about reaching out a hand and allowing ourselves to belong.
