Here's 3 Things I Recently Learned About Abundance
Maybe you're someone like me who experiences financial ups and downs in life. Sometimes things are great, and other times you find yourself scraping the barrel before things rise again - only to fall once more. This cycle can be exhausting, and I know I’m not alone in feeling this way.
Before I dive in, I want to make it clear that I do not claim to be an expert in abundance!
Instead, I simply want to share three key insights I gained from a powerful three-day abundance workshop (here are the details). It came at the perfect time for me, bringing deep joy and releasing old blocks.
Healing in a group setting is also incredibly transformative because our energies intermingle, unlocking really deep things that sometimes we can’t hope to get to on our own. I hope that what I share here might support you on your own journey toward abundance.
1. Understanding the Root of Scarcity Mindset
One of the biggest takeaways for me was the realisation that most of us have a deeply ingrained lack mentality. In fact, it seems like everyone who arrives on Earth carries some level of scarcity consciousness. But why is that?
When we incarnate into this physical existence, we experience an illusion of disconnection from Source. We are still Source, but we forget this truth as we navigate human life. The process of being born into a physical body means suddenly needing external resources such food, shelter, water, protection, especially as babies.
This necessity creates a powerful belief that everything we need exists outside of us, reinforcing a scarcity mindset.
The truth is that abundance is our natural state. Our journey on Earth is about remembering that connection, shifting our consciousness, and realigning with the truth of who we really are.
2. Abundance is a Frequency
The second major realisation was that abundance isn’t just about money or material wealth.
Instead, it’s a frequency. It vibrates at a particular energetic level, much like joy and love. This understanding comes from the David Hawkins scale of consciousness, where emotions have different vibrational frequencies. At the lowest end are fear and shame, while love, joy, and enlightenment sit at the highest levels.
When we’re stuck in a lack mindset, worrying about how to pay our bills, stressing over financial security, our vibration lowers.
Fear and stress pull us out of the energy of abundance, making it harder to attract what we need. Ironically, the first things we tend to shut down when we're struggling are joy, pleasure, and self-care.
We tell ourselves: I’ll relax when I have more money. I’ll do something joyful when I can afford it. But in reality, the key to shifting our abundance is to embrace joy first.
I remember a time last year when I was overwhelmed by financial worries. I was in a coffee shop, spiraling into a deep fear about how I would pay my rent. I even felt guilty for buying a simple coffee, depriving myself of small pleasures. My boyfriend, who is very emotionally intelligent, helped pull me out of that spiral.
As we walked home, I started affirming out loud: Everything is working out. Money flows easily to me. I am supported. My energy shifted, and an hour later, someone booked a reading with me, bringing in exactly what I needed at that moment.
This was such a huge lesson. When you're in fear, the way to shift your energy is to engage in something joyful, even if it’s small. Spend time with loved ones, laugh, play with animals, watch a good film, read a book, go for a walk in the sunshine - anything that brings you back into joy.
As your energy shifts, abundance follows.
3. Clearing Subconscious Blocks to Manifestation
The final and perhaps most profound lesson was about subconscious blocks. We often struggle to manifest what we desire because there are hidden traumas and conditioning working against us on a deeper level.
During the workshop, we did a process where we leaned into our fears instead of avoiding them. We were held in a safe space as we explored these fears somatically, feeling where they lived in our bodies. It was intense, but deeply revealing, and a powerful piece of the puzzle on my own healing journey.
What I realized is that my ability to attract abundance has been blocked by unacknowledged trauma. Looking back, I had never fully processed some incredibly difficult events from the past few years:
2020 shattered my illusions about the world creating huge emotional upheaval.
2021 brought extreme financial stress as I struggled to work as a Kinesiologist.
2022 was filled with massive relationship upheaval that left deep stress.
2023 yet again tested me with financial instability.
I had brushed these experiences aside, thinking I had simply moved on. But trauma lingers in the body, often putting us in a prolonged fight-or-flight state without us even realising it. Until we acknowledge and release this stored trauma, it creates resistance in our ability to receive abundance.
This realization also tied into my work with Divine Healing. In these sessions, we identify and clear key psychological conflicts, opposing beliefs like I am worthy of abundance vs. I am not worthy of abundance. These subconscious contradictions create energetic blockages that prevent us from manifesting what we truly desire.
To truly open ourselves to abundance, we need to:
Acknowledge and process our unresolved trauma.
Work with the lower chakras (our root and sacral energies) to create a strong foundation.
Connect deeply with our physical bodies, as they are the vessels through which we manifest.
Final Thoughts
These three insights have profoundly shifted my perspective on abundance. I hope that by sharing them, at least one or two of these realisations might resonate with you.
Abundance isn’t about forcing or grasping, it’s about aligning and aparigraha - the process of letting go. It’s about returning to joy, releasing fear, and clearing subconscious barriers so that we can allow abundance to flow naturally.

Letting go, especially of people and the past, can be deeply challenging, but it’s a vital part of growth and healing. However, change is a constant in our life and letting go is a part of that. This blog explores why letting go is so hard and how to honour the process.
