My 5 Favourite Energy Dynamics in Soul Contracts
I want to share something I see coming up time and time again in my Soul Contract readings, and that is the fascinating energy dynamics between certain numbers. These interactions shape how we relate to others and, when understood, can bring so much clarity and ease into our lives.
Some of these pairings I know intimately from my own chart, and others I’ve observed repeatedly in readings I’ve given.
So, if you’re curious about how different numbers in your Soul Contract interact, get hold of the numbers in your chart here, and see if you have any of these dynamic and fascinating pairs.
1. The 5 & 8 dynamic: speaking up vs. keeping the peace
This is one I know very well because I have it in my own chart, and I see it all the time in readings. If you have the 5 energy in your chart (such as a 5-5 or 14-5) alongside an 8 (such as an 8-8 or 17-8) in your chart, this one’s for you.
At their core, fives are here to learn how to speak their truth. They tend to have busy, overactive minds, full of ideas and insights, but expressing those thoughts can feel terrifying.
Some fives struggle with public speaking or even stutter because the act of using their voice carries deep karmic lessons. On the other hand, eights are highly empathetic and peace-loving. They feel everything, both their own emotions and those of others, so deeply that they often prioritise keeping the peace over asserting themselves.
Here’s where the tension arises: the five wants to speak up, while the eight wants to avoid conflict.
This can create a frustrating cycle where you suppress your voice to maintain harmony, but inside, there’s a growing need to express yourself. And if you want to dive into this dynamic even further, here’s a video all about the energy between these two numbers.
The key to working with this dynamic is learning to balance honesty with kindness, ensuring that truth is shared in a way that nurtures both yourself and those around you.
2. The 6 & 9 dynamic: creativity vs. power struggles
Sixes are natural creatives - they are expansive, expressive, and full of ideas, but they can easily burn out by trying to do too much at once when their energy becomes scattered and overwhelmed.
On the other side, nines hold the energy of power, think of the serpent or dragon energy, representing strength and resilience. However, when nines have experienced disempowerment in their past (often in childhood), that suppressed energy can manifest as anger.
When six and nine energies come together in a chart, the dynamic can look like this: the six wants to create, but if their energy becomes blocked, frustration builds. That frustration often stems from an inner struggle with power, a deep-seated feeling of not being able to do or be what they desire.
Meanwhile, nines are learning that it’s safe to step into their power, but if they hold back, that powerlessness can turn into internalised anger.
Understanding this pairing is all about recognising where power struggles, whether internal or external, are getting in the way of creative flow and learning to channel that energy into inspired action.
3. The 7 & 3 dynamic: hiding vs. expressing yourself
This is another one I know personally, and it’s a beautiful but tricky dynamic.
Sevens are here to learn how to feel safe being seen as their true selves. They often have a heart wound that makes them cautious about showing up authentically. They may appear confident and charismatic on the outside, but inside, they carry a deep sensitivity and often retreat when they feel vulnerable.
Threes, on the other hand, can be incredible communicators, or they may struggle massively with communication. There’s rarely an in-between! Their lesson is to express their emotions openly, but because they also have a tendency to hide, they can hold back from truly saying what’s in their heart.
More often than not, the threes don’t really understand how they’re feeling, and so they struggle to communicate it. When this happens they either tend to shy away from expressing something, because they can’t understand what it is. Or they express all of their emotions, which can be a little explosive and confusing for both them and the receiver.
When sevens and threes interact, you get a push-pull between revealing and retreating. The challenge here is to embrace authentic self-expression, to move past fear and allow yourself to be seen, knowing that vulnerability is a strength, not a weakness.
4. The 13-4 & 10-1 dynamic: masculine & feminine balance
This is a really interesting one because these numbers represent the masculine and feminine polarities.
The 10-1 carries a strong and incredibly spiritual masculine energy, which is all about action, leadership, responsibility and being of service. However, it can also bring self-criticism and a tendency to take on too much. I often find that people with this 10-1 energy can be very self-critical and judgemental of themselves (and sometimes of others too).
13-4 carries the divine feminine energy, focusing on softness, intuition, and the heart. But when wounded, it can manifest as emotional shutdown, resistance to receiving support or an inability and unwillingness to share.
If you have both of these numbers in your chart, you may be here to heal childhood experiences related to your mother and father. The work involves bringing the masculine and feminine into harmony, learning to balance giving and receiving and leading and surrendering.
Both are beautiful energies to have in your Soul Contract and ask for deeper levels of healing and self-compassion, first and foremost for yourself, and then for those around you.
5. The 11-2 & 6 dynamic: building something beautiful
The final pairing is one of my favourites because it carries so much creative and manifesting energy!
11-2s are the builders of the world. They are here to create structure, whether that’s within themselves, in their relationships, or in the world at large. They are naturally ambitious and have a strong vision for what they want to bring into being.
6s are the creative visionaries. They bring energy down from source, channeling it into art, expression, and tangible form. However, when they get stuck in overthinking, their creative flow can become blocked.
When these numbers come together, they bring the potential to build something truly incredible, whether that’s a business, a community, a family, or a movement. The key is learning to work through self-doubt and creative resistance, ensuring that both the structured and visionary aspects are allowed to flourish.
Both the 6 and the 11-2 energy is business-savvy and ambitious. the 11-2s are here to build it and the 6s are here to create it. All they need to focus on is taking it slowly, to avoid overwhelm, and to stay focused on the task at hand.
Your Soul Contract is a guide - not a rulebook
One of the most important things to remember about these energy dynamics is that they aren’t fixed.
We always have free will in how we engage with our Soul Contract energies and every person’s chart is completely unique to them, depending on their numbers, their personality, their past experiences and many other different factors.
Ultimately, we can work with them consciously, growing through our lessons, or we can resist them, staying stuck in old patterns until we’re ready to shift.
If you see yourself in any of these dynamics, take it as an invitation to explore how these energies play out in your life. Are you allowing yourself to step into your power? Are you able to express yourself? Do you feel free to share who you truly are? When we understand the energies in our Soul Contract, we can understand ourselves on a deeper level.
And that is a powerful thing indeed.
