Can ChatGPT read your Soul Contract? Here’s what I found

I felt really inspired to make this video after a conversation with someone who said, “Oh, I already know my soul contract, I got it from ChatGPT.” And honestly, this wasn’t the first time I’d heard that. So I decided to do a little experiment and see what ChatGPT would actually say if I asked it to read mine.

What even is a Soul Contract?

Before we dive in, let’s get really clear on this. A Soul Contract Reading, at least the way I do it, is based on a system developed by Frank Alper in the 1980s. It’s a form of spiritual numerology that looks at your full birth name and decodes your karmic patterns, talents, goals, and soul destiny.

It’s a deeply intuitive and emotional process. It’s about understanding where you’ve come from, the patterns you’re here to heal, and how you can step into your potential. It’s not just data, numbers and symbols, it takes you deep into the understanding of yourself on a soul level.

My ChatGPT Soul Contract experiment

So I thought I’d begin by asking ChatGPT the simplest questions: “What is my Soul Contract based on my birth name?”

Now, I’ve seen other people try this before, but I’d never asked it to decode my chart. I figured, let’s see what happens.

ChatGPT responded with a very generic overview. It used simplified numerology and didn’t give me any of the specific numbers I know are in my chart. It didn’t distinguish between positive and negative aspects of each number either, which is a huge part of how I work.

For example, if you have a 3 in your chart, it could be about:

• Your self-worth and relationship with failure

• How you communicate

• How confident or shy you are

• Your relationship with abundance

• Whether you’re able to really feel your emotions, or not

Each number has layers of meaning, and they all interconnect - no numbers work in isolation. That’s why live readings are so powerful, they let me see how all the pieces work together in your life right now, which is a completely tailored and interactive experience.

So, first of all, that nuance was completely missing, and what’s more, it gave me completely the wrong numbers. So, if I had these wrong numbers (I mean, completely different from my chart and I suggest watching the video to see) this would impact all the other information I research, read about or try to look deeper into.

What ChatGPT gets wrong when reading my Soul Contract

What I quickly realised is that when ChatGPT tries to read a Soul Contract, it’s pulling from generalised numerology sources. It’s not pulling from the Soul Contract system I use, which is based on specific frequencies connected to your birth name.

So when it told me my chart had certain numbers, I knew immediately it was wrong. Not just technically wrong, but energetically off. It didn't reflect my experience or the deeper work I’ve done over the years with my own chart.

And honestly, some of the interpretations it gave were just a bit too vague and helpful. There was no resonance or emotional truth to sit with and digest, because there’s no one challenging me to become aware of the truth within my chart. Readings aren’t about surface level information, they are about a live transmission where you gain a deep understanding of yourself that you had forgotten.

And if there’s not a practitioner there to hold you, emotionally, as well as highlight the parts that you are still to come into acceptance of, it’s not going to give you any real benefit.

What a Soul Contract Reading is really about

A proper Soul Contract Reading isn’t just about having your chart read, it’s actually about:

• Understanding the emotional and energetic patterns playing out in your life

• Seeing the deeper lessons behind your challenges

• Recognising your natural gifts

• Feeling the truth of your soul reflected back to you

That’s why Soul Contract Reading practitioners don’t just list your numbers, we walk with you through them. We explore how they’re showing up in your real life, right in this moment, and what could shift if you understood them more deeply.

Should you use ChatGPT to read your Soul Contract?

Honestly, I would suggest using it with discernment. It’s not wrong, when you explain what system you want to use, but it’s also not right. It’s giving you a surface-level overview based on generic numerology. It’s not tuned in to you and the complexity of your unique Soul Contract and how you’ve experienced it.

Two people can have the exact same numbers in their Soul Contract, but have completely varied life experiences, and ChatGPT isn’t going to know the difference. The risk of using it is that you’re not going to get the full experience and validation that you gain from understanding your chart.

I’m sure it will get better in the future, but right now? It’s not there yet.

The most validating, nourishing thing is when something truly resonates. When it lands in your body and you just know it’s true. That’s what a good Soul Contract Reading does.

If you're exploring your Soul Contract, do it with curiosity, but also with care as there’s a lot of noise out there. And while AI is a powerful tool, it still doesn't know the full language of the soul, and I don’t think it ever will, because it’s not conscious on a spiritual level. It may be able to talk the talk, but it has never felt, never experienced, never embodied.
