It’s been a hot minute since I shared something on YouTube, but I’m back with a new weekly Soul Contract series where I explore the interesting, unique and wonderful dynamics of the numbers.
In this post, I’m diving into the power numbers in your Soul Contract. In particular, the numbers 5, 9, and 10–1. These are the Soul Contract numbers that most strongly highlight lessons around power, self-belief, and how we reclaim our ability to act in the world.
If you’re new to me, I’m Antonya, and I love helping people develop deeper self-awareness so they can feel more compassionate with themselves and more confident in who they are.
Power is such a misunderstood word. We hear the phrase all the time “step into your power” but what does that actually mean? At its simplest, having power means having the ability to do something, and do it well. When that ability, or even just our belief in it, is taken away, we experience disempowerment.
In the Soul Contract system, all of the numbers touch on power in some way, but three really stand out: 5, 9, and 10–1.
Soul Contract Number 5 – Learning to Speak Your Truth
The 5 energy brings a soft kind of power. People with a karmic five often need to learn to assert themselves. Fives can live very much in the mind and the imagination, they are super creative, ethereal, and big dreamers. But part of their path is to ground down, to use their voice, and to speak their truth.
Because of this, fives may attract people who try to dominate or overpower them. The lesson is about boundaries: saying no, walking away when needed, and learning to trust the strength of their voice, even when it feels scary.
Soul Contract Number 9 – Reclaiming Your Ability
Nine carries a strong, dragon-like energy, which is powerful but can sometimes feel exhausting. People with nines in their chart can push themselves a lot, but they’re also here to overcome fear and resistance when it comes to reclaiming their power.
For many, that includes healing childhood experiences of disempowerment, such as those times when they couldn’t stand up for themselves, make their own choices, or express who they really were. The journey of the nine is about stepping back into the recognition of their ability to do something.
Soul Contract Number 10–1 – Power with Integrity and Responsibility
The 10-1 is all about using power with integrity and responsibility. It’s a deeply masculine energy, often linked with dynamics around fathers or other strong masculine figures. Those with this number may have experienced disempowerment in this area, but they are also here to embody a powerful expression of service and healing.
When balanced, the 10-1 energy brings a beautiful harmony between the masculine and the feminine. Their lesson is to use their power responsibly, in alignment with integrity, and to make a difference in the world through service.

Every number has something to say about power, but these three really stand out. Fives are here to find their voice. Nines are here to reclaim their ability to act. Tens are here to use power responsibly and with balance.
